Video: Braintree Woman Flees Police After Hingham Traffic Stop

BRAINTREE, MA — A Braintree woman led Hingham police on a short chase on Thursday morning after a traffic stop in a residential neighborhood. Police eventually caught up to Jennifer Gramm, 35, and arrested her on drug charges.

The incident happened just before 10 a.m. Thursday along Lewis Court in Hingham. A traffic officer pulled Gramm over because of a problem with her inspection sticker. When the officer confronted Gramm about a warrant, she hit the gas and fled, a video released by police shows.

A short distance down the road, Gramm ditched her car and ran off. The officer caught and arrested her behind a nearby house.

A K9 from Norwell searched Gramm's car and found heroin and prescription pills. She was charged with possession of a Class A substance, possession of a Class B substance, possession of a Class E substance, plus failure to stop, resisting arrest, and negligent operation.

David Nubar, 44, of Holbrook, was in the passenger seat during the incident. He was charged with possession of a Class E substance.
