• Brewster To Investigate Residential Tax Exemption (capecodchronicle.com) — Brewster officials are launching a two-year study on whether to adopt a residential tax exemption that could shift more of the property tax burden from year-round residents to second-home owners. For now, all homes will be taxed at $7.02 per $1,000 of value, giving the median Brewster homeowner a 2027 bill of about $5,695 while the town analyzes who would benefit and who might pay more.
