3-year-old On Scooter, Hit By Car In Brookline
The little boy was taken to a hospital with injuries described as minor, according to Police.

BROOKLINE, MA — A 3-year-old child was taken to the hospital Friday morning after he was hit by a car in a crosswalk in Brookline, according to police. It appears it's the first pedestrian-involved crash in town so far in 2019.
The youngster was wearing a helmet and was taken to the hospital with what was described as minor injuries to the head, police said. .
Friday morning police got a call from someone saying that a child was riding a scooter next to his mother when he was hit by a car that was turning at the intersection of Longwood Avenue and Kent Street, according to police data.

Between Jan. 1 and Oct. 14, 2018 (the most recent information available online) there were 939 crashes reported in town. And in October some three crashes involved pedestrians and one involved a scooter. In the first 10 months of the year the areas with the most crashes were at 1 Horace James Cr., where 36 crashes were reported. Hammond Pond Parkway at Heath Street a dozen crashes were reported.
The driver stayed and cooperated with police.
