Fire Breaks Out At 3-story Brookline Building

BROOKLINE, MA — Firefighters are currently battling a blaze in the vicinity of 213 Boylston St., the Brookline Fire Department told Patch.

Crews responded to the scene at approximately 10:20 a.m. Thursday morning, to find heavy smoke and flames emanating primarily from the first floor and basement of the three-story, mixed use building.

According to the police department, Boylston Street is currently closed in both directions from Washington Street to Cypress Street as the extinguishing effort remains underway.
