Arrest Made in Robbery at Brookline Bakery

BROOKLINE, MA – The suspect in a robbery at a Brookline bakery was arrested Thursday night after officers located him near the scene.

The incident occurred at Athan's Bakery on Beacon Street. According to WHDH, the suspect allegedly came in and said he had a gun but did not present it. He allegedly stole cash from the register and cash and cellphones from patrons, the network reported.

Police located the suspect nearby and arrested him. He is a local known to Brookline police, according to the department.

The suspect will be arraigned Friday.
