Art classes with Andrea Tamkin at Boylston Place at Chestnut Hill

Local artist Andrea Tamkin will lead painting classes at Boylston Place at Chestnut Hill at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 4 and Friday, Dec. 18. Tamkin paints pet portraits, still lifes and landscapes with a variety of media including encaustics—pigmented wax that gives paintings more depth. Tamkin studied painting at the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston. Her work is in private and corporate collections and has appeared in many local galleries, including the Bernard Toale Gallery and the Chuck Levitan Gallery in New York.
