Art Matters presents: "The History of Illusion in Art & M.C. Escher" at Boylston Place at Chestnut Hill

Boylston Place at Chestnut Hill will welcome art education and awareness program Art Matters on Tuesday, Dec. 8 at 2 p.m. Jane Blair, artist and owner of Art Matters, will discuss the use of illusion in famous art, including the work of Da Vinci and M.C. Escher, as well as visual art styles like Anamorphic art and Op art. The presentation will focus particularly on the work of Escher, a 20th century Dutch artist who was a master and innovator of illusion.
