
BROOKLINE, MA - From the Town of Brookline: On Tuesday, August 7th , the Town’s contractor, MDR Construction, will mobilize on Babcock Street to begin roadway and sidewalk construction.
Project Details
- Improve deteriorating roadway and sidewalks infrastructure
- Provide improved facilities for cyclists and pedestrians
- Construct curb extensions at John Street, Dwight Street, and Freeman Street to enhance pedestrian safety
- Upgrade street lighting infrastructure
- The project will take approximately 10 months to complete
- During the week of August 6th , crews will mobilize to the site and install signage
- Crews will begin removing the roadway between Devotion Street and Freeman Street this month
- General work hours will be 7 AM to 4 PM, Monday – Friday.
- “No Parking” signs will be posted at least 24 hours in advance of construction; please be sure to check posted signs for exact dates and times.
- Section of the road will be temporary closed.
- When work occurs directly in front of driveways or entryways, the contractor and police details will coordinate access directly with residents and businesses.
- Emergency vehicles will have access at all times.
