Booksmith & Brookline Hub Host Tanner Stening's Poetry Class
Join us for this special Zoom poetry class!

The coronavirus pandemic has made it challenging for all of us to stay connected. As writers and artists, this disconnection can stifle our ability to create, as many of us tend to the overwhelming demands of the present moment. Or maybe, amid the anxiety, some of us have found a new stillness—a new source of writing and imagination drawn from these extraordinary circumstances.
In times of crisis, the work of art—as social critique, as helpful self-delusion—becomes critical. So does staying connected with your fellow artists.
In this 10-week Zoom course, sponsored by Brookline Booksmith and BrooklineHub.com, writer Tanner Stening will lead a group that will be reading and writing poems together, with an emphasis on free verse and other contemporary forms, in an effort to engage one another in a conversation about poems, our work, and the works of some of the leading poets and writers of the last 50 years.
