BROOKLINE, MA — If not for the snow storm, it may have been a little harder for the Brookline Police to capture two Quincy residents accused of robbing a bank in Brookline.
At 10:38 a.m., a caller at TD Bank at 1641 Beacon St. reported a bank robbery. A note passed by a man indicated that he had a gun, but a weapon wasn't shown, according to the Brookline Police Department. As police responded, they learned that a vehicle with the suspect ran a red light in Brookline Village. Police located and stopped the vehicle at the intersection of Willow Pond Road and Jamaica Way and found a woman driver with a man lying down in the back seat.

Police say the man, who is believed to be the one who allegedly robbed the bank, had changed clothes. Police were able to recover the taken money and take the two into custody.
The lack of vehicles on the road due to the snow assisted with the investigation, police said.
