Brookline Coronavirus: More Than 300 Test Positive
So far 27 people have died as a result of COVID-19, the disease that the virus causes.

BROOKLINE, MA — As of Monday, 305 people tested positive for coronavirus in Brookline. Of those, 27 have died as a result of COVID-19, the disease that the virus causes.
Although the town does not have data for the majority of those people, at least 27 percent live in a long term care facility, as of April 30.
According to town data, the cases are fairly evening spread among people from age 20 to 89.

Meanwhile, across the state Monday, health officials reported the smallest day-to-day increase in nearly a month as the positive test rate declines. A total of 69,087 people in Massachusetts have tested positive for the virus. The total fatalities is now at 4,090, more than half of which have occurred at long-term care facilities.
