Brookline to Double Hubway Stations in Town

Currently there are about four bike share stations in town, but the plan is to add at least five more stations.

BROOKLINE, MA — Brookline will more than double the number of Hubway Bike Share Stations around town throughout the next year, town officials announced Tuesday night. Currently there are about four bike share stations in town, but the plan is to add at least five more stations.

Although other communities have their bike stations out on the street right now, Brookline has been holding off as it works out an agreement with a contractor. Now that the company "Motivate," has been selected, the town is ready to move forward.

"It's a very significant opportunity for both the system and the town to expand its presence," said Brookline's Assistant Director for Community Planning Joe Viola.
