Brookline Fire Raises $17,200 For Harvey Relief, MDA Annual Drive

Brookline Fire fighters raised more than $17,000 recently for their annual fundrising drive and sent half the money to Texas.

BROOKLINE, MA — This year Brookline Firefighters raised more than $17,000 for their annual fundraiser. Usually they raise money for the Muscular Dystrophy Association, but this year they were out on Beacon Street collecting for both the MDA and Harvey Relief in Texas.

The Brookline Fire Department also donated department t-shirts to give to Texas Firefighters (and their families) who have suffered property loss.

"The shirts will provide them with something new to wear after losing so much, and it also allows them to wear the logo of those departments, locals, associations and fire companies that were able to help," the fire department announced on social media.
