Brookline Has A New Fire Chief

Deputy Chief Rob Ward was promoted Tuesday evening.

BROOKLINE, MA — It's been more than a year since Brookline's Fire Department has had an official fire chief. After the last chief (Paul Ford) retired, Deputy Chief Rob Ward stepped in as acting chief for what was to be a few months but lasted a bit longer. Tuesday evening that title "acting" was dropped as he was promoted to Brookline Fire chief and officially took the reins of the Brookline Fire Department.

Updates to come.
