Brookline Hotspot 'Ribelle' Closes
The Italian eatery first opened in 2013 to critical acclaim and was highly touted by local food critics during its three years of operation.

Brookline, MA – An award-winning Brookline favorite has officially closed its doors.
Ribelle, the Beacon Street eatery helmed by restauranteur Timothy Maslow, served its last meal on Saturday. Maslow told the Boston Globe that he sold the restaurant to an unnamed buyer and it would be closing after serving dinner July 2.
A picture posted on Ribelle's Instagram account on Saturday, saying "Gone Fishin'" with a peace sign emoji, confirmed the closure.

The restaurant generated significant buzz upon its 2013 opening as the first solo venture of Maslow, who had previously taken over his father’s Watertown diner, Strip-T’s.
A critical darling, it earned a highly-coveted four-star review from the Boston Globe and landed Maslow on one of Food and Wine’s best new chefs lists of last year, according to Boston Eater.

According to the Globe, Maslow will continue to work with his father at the elder Maslow's Watertown restaurant, Strip-T's, and cook with Tiffani Faison at her Fenway eatery, Tiger Mama.
Maslow found himself in legal trouble earlier this year when he was arrested with marijuana edibles at the Canadian border. Those charges were later dropped, the Globe reported.
