Brookline Police On Lookout For Multi-State Burglar Suspect
Police say the 56-year-old Robert Holcomb possibly driving a 4-door silver Subaru is wanted for burglary in Brookline and in Georgia.
BROOKLINE, MA — Brookline Police are looking for a man they say broke into a Brookline home and allegedly stole several expensive items - but not before leaving a fingerprint.
Police said the print came back for a man wanted in Georgia and previously arrested in South Carolina for breaking into homes.
"He broke one of the small windows near the front door and cut himself and we got a finger print off of it," said Deputy Superintendent Michael Gropman.

Police said they didn't believe Holcomb stuck around Brookline, but noted the suspect has ties to Boston, Quincy and Newton so he could still be in the area. Gropman described Holcomb as "brazen."
"He also has an extensive record from out of state," he said. "Someone breaking into a house on a Sunday afternoon right in the area of Cypress and Walnut, it's very brazen," said Gropman.

This comes after Brookline has experienced a series of home, car and commercial break ins. Gropman said police don't believe he's connected to the car breaks or the commercial break ins, but are still investigating the home break ins around town.
Police say if anyone sees the 56-year-old Robert Holcomb possibly driving a 4-door silver Subaru to reach out to them. Holcomb has large tattoos on both arms. (617) 730-2222.
