Police say multiple stores have recently reported being victimized.
Police warned local store owners this week of recent reports of counterfeit money being used at local businesses. Stores on Commonwealth Ave. and in Coolidge Corner have been a victim of the scam.
Police are advising store owners to be vigilant.
