Brookline residents graduate from The Rivers School in Weston

Brookline residents Abby R. Finn and Jacob M. Harris were among 93 students to graduate from The Rivers School in Weston on Friday, June 10.

WESTON, MA— Brookline residents Abby R. Finn and Jacob M. Harris were among 93 students to graduate from The Rivers School in Weston on Friday, June 10.

An honor roll student and talented artist, Abby Finn received a number of art awards, including a Scholastic Art Honorable Mention and Second and Third Place prizes from SISAL in sculpture and ceramics. She earned a Presidential Service Award in recognition of the 300 hours of community service she performed, including many at the Brookline Mental Health Center. She was a Red Key tour guide and participated on the Debate Team, sponsoring a bill about hydropower in Alaska at a recent competition. The daughter of David and Steffanie Finn, Abby will attend University of Delaware in the fall.

Jacob Harris was a talented soccer goalie who was selected for the All-New England All-Star game last year and captained the team this year. He also was a member of the varsity basketball team and earned a Scholar-Athlete Award this spring. Outside of Rivers, he belonged to a club soccer team that was a four-time state champion. An honor roll student and talented artist, he received a Silver Key in the Scholastic Art competition for his sculpture. The son of Mitchel and Beth Harris, Jacob will attend Colgate University in the fall.
