Brookline Seeking Emergency Preparedness Volunteers
The Community Emergency Response Team and Medical Reserve Corps invite new members to join more than 300 Brookline volunteers.

BROOKLINE, MA – Two Brookline emergency response organizations are seeking new volunteers to join the more than 300 medical and non-medical staff who currently serve the town.
The Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) and Medical Reserve Corps (MRC) provide volunteer services for Brookline during an emergency and assist in running various community events, such as the Boston Marathon and annual flu clinics.
The teams provide free training on topics focused on emergency preparedness and response, such as nursing and continuing education credits.

For those interested in volunteering, an information session is being held Thurs., Sep. 15 from 6:15 to 7:30 p.m. in the Community Room of the Public Safety Building, 350 Washington St. Meet with current volunteers and enjoy refreshments provided by the CERT and MRC.
