Brookline Youth Sticker Design Contest Expands In Its Second Year
Voting for the winners is now open.
BROOKLINE, MA — Voting is now open for the town’s 2026 “I Voted” sticker design contest, the Town Clerk’s office announced Tuesday.
Any student in the district between kindergarten and eighth grade was able to submit a design. Home-schooled students and other communities are also allowed to participate. Finalists were then reviewed and selected by a panel made up of school and town leaders. The winners will now be decided by a public vote. According to Town Clerk Ben Kaufman, he received 163 entries for this year’s competition, a notable increase from last year’s inaugural competition, which had 91 submissions.
The entries were first narrowed down to 38 semi-finalists before 15 were selected to advance to be voted on by the community. Three contestants will be designated as winners this year, with one from each from the age groups of kindergarten through second grade, third grade and fourth grade, and fifth grade through eighth grade.

Runkle School eighth grader Vivian Brousseau won first place last year with her design that featured an MBTA Green Line train passing by the S.S. Pierce building in Coolidge Corner with the words “I Voted” at the top written in purple.
The contest is part of a larger project by the Town Clerk’s office to increase local election engagement. Last year’s finalists received prizes such as gift cards to local eateries and tickets to the Evelyn Kirrane Aquatics Center.
