College Students Accused of Mutilating Rabbit

Brookline Police are investigating reports of animal cruelty at Pine Manor College.

BROOKLINE, MA - Four male student athletes at a local college have been accused of animal cruelty following an alleged incident last week.

Brookline Police are investigating reports that the men, who are students at Pine Manor College, caught and mutilated a rabbit, WCVB reported.

Police told the network that based on witness testimony and a subsequent investigation, the four men will face animal cruelty charges in court.

According to the Brookline TAB, security at Pine Manor College is also looking into the reported incident.

Animal cruelty is a felony in Massachusetts, which can carry fines as well as jail time.
