Company's Plan to Build Pot Dispensary in Brookline Suffers Setback As Leader Resigns

An executive of a company planning a medical marijuana dispensary in Brookline has resigned.

The Boston Globe reported Monday that Kevin Fisher, CEO of New England Treatment Access, said over the weekend he will leave his post.

Fisher allegedly lied about his education on a state application for a license to run pot dispensaries in Brookline and Northampton. Those projects are now on hold as state investigators look into the matter, the Globe reported.

New England Treatment Access’ planned dispensaries were two of 11 that recently advanced to the “inspection” phase of the licensing process overseen by the state Department of Public Health.
