BHS School Council Parent Election

This event is for Brookline High School Parents and Guardians.

Every year parents are elected to serve on the BHS School Council, this year led by the Headmaster John Ritchie. School Councils were created by the Education Reform Act of 1993 as a way to bring together community members, teachers, administrators and parents to participate in shaping the policies and programs of their school, with the common goal of improving them. It is a one-year term and meets 4-6 times during the year.

There will be a parent election by silent ballot at the BHS Back-to-School night at the inside doors to the Dubbs Auditorium.  Parents who are interested in being on School Council should send an email to copresidents.bhs.pto@gmail.com and include an approximate 200 word biographical sketch with your areas of interest regarding BHS. These descriptions will be emailed to parents and included on the ballots next Thursday.
