Our Spring 2012 workshop series is all about making the best of your job search. We will help you update your resume and hone your interviewing skills, discover your transferable skills and communicate your brand. Also, learn how to use social media to help you find your next job. The fee for each workshop is $15 if paid at least 24 hours in advance, or $20 at the door. Pre-registration is required.

Gain valuable tips before your next interview. Work with staff and fellow participants to practice your interviewing techniques and to develop a style of your own. Limited to eight participants.

Can your résumé pass a recruiter's 30-second scan and make it to the YES pile? If you're not sure, come to this clinic. Each participant will have their résumé critiqued by the group and by JVS staff. Limited to eight participants. Please bring tencopies of your résumé.

Have you spent hundreds of hours online hunting and applying for jobs with few or no results? In this workshop, you'll get tips on using the Internet effectively. We'll discuss : protecting your privacy, researching industries, and using appropriate etiquette when applying on-line. . We'll also talk about creative approaches to targeting companies with job openings, and inventive strategies for getting the interview and the job offer. We'll also give you a list of good websites to use.
