Have you had an arts or cultural project in mind for years but always come up short with the funding? Would your project benefit the Brookline community? If so why not consider applying to the Local Cultural Council, The Brookline Commission for the Arts, to see if your project is awarded a grant from the over $8,000 that have been made available to Brookline this year by the Massachusetts Cultural Council? In previous years grants have been awarded for concerts, festivals, lectures, theater, dance, music, art exhibits, short term artists’ residencies, public art, and film. LCC projects have taken place in schools, community centers, libraries, elder care facilities, town halls, parks, arts centers and wherever communities come together. Please check our Facebook page for a short video showing a selection of last year’s grantees and their projects.
Next Wed, Sept 21 from 7-9pm we will be holding an Application Workshop in Room 103 in Brookline Town Hall – so feel free to come along with your ideas to talk to someone and go over the application procedure. Please call 617 730 2135 or brooklinearts@gmail.com to register.
For further information you can also go to: Grant Applications or check out information on our website – www.brooklinearts.org. Our Administrator, Gillian Jackson, will also be happy to answer any questions. She can be reached at brooklinearts@gmail.com or 617 730 2135.
And, a special note for all artists:
