HIGH AURA'D is the nom du plume of Massachusetts based John Kolodij.
Influenced as much by Richard Serra and Robert Smithson as Loren Connors and Lichens, he set foot on a path of enlightenment through self exploration and innovation; trying to capture space, time, and raw emotion. Guitars of all sorts, acoustic, lap steel, field recordings are utilized. Performances are often accompanied by film projection.
High aura'd has shared the stage with Loren Connors, Barn Owl, Deaf Center, Work/Death, Xela, Scott Tuma, The Body, among many others. Releases include an EP last Fall on Reverb Worship, and a split with Andre Foisy of Locrian on Stunned Records, to be followed this Winter by a 12" record for Bathetic Records.
