On Saturday, May 19 at 8:00pm, the Lorelei Ensemble will be giving a concert entitled “Amass: Revolution,
Resistance, and Progress,” in the United Parish in Brookline Sanctuary. The concert will feature Sungji Hong's contemporary mass Missa Lumen di Lumine and chant by 9c. Greek composer Kassia.
The Lorelei Ensemble was founded in 2007 by Beth Willer, and is dedicated to the performance of new and early music for women’s voices. In an effort to enrich this body of repertoire, Lorelei collaborates with established and emerging
composers from the United States and abroad, while continuing to highlight standard and lesser-known repertoire of the Medieval, Renaissance and early-Baroque periods.
