1998 BA, Visual Arts and History of Art and Architecture, Brown University, Providence, RI

He teaches the Visual Studies Foundation and Interactive Foundation classes in the Department of Visual Art at Northeastern University. Matt is the recipient of a research fellowship from the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation and a fellowship from the Terra Foundation for the Arts funding a residency in Giverny, France. Recent exhibitions of his work include solo shows at Project Row Houses in Houston, Texas and the Suburban in Oak Park, Illinois and group shows at Fleisher/Ollman Gallery in Philadelphia, O.H+T Gallery in Boston and White Flag Projects in St. Louis, Missouri. In the summer of 2009 he completed an NES Artist Residency in Skagaströnd in Northwestern Iceland.
