BROOKLINE, MA —All of the following is from Brookline Police log or online blog. They are excerpts taken from the public police log and represent a portion of what kinds of calls the police respond to. All suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Monday, July 17
Idle: A Kent Street resident called to report a small sedan was parked outside at 2:30 a.m and had been running with someone inside for the past hour.

Tools gone: Someone called to report a contractor was working on Russell Street when some tools were stolen over the weekend.
Porch theft: A Greenough Street resident called to report two packages were stolen off the porch. He said they were worth about $1100. A School Street resident called to report a package was stolen from their home, too.

Oh no: A landscaper called to report he'd hit a rabbit den while working on Rawson Road and accidentally injured one of the rabbits pretty bad.
Stolen: Someone at Epoch Center Assisted Living on Heath Street called to report someone took a billfold yesterday but then returned everything but the $150 in cash.
Bike thefts: A St. Paul Street resident reported that her child's bike was stolen last weekend and then two additional bikes showed signs of an attempted theft last night.
Graffiti: Two reports of graffiti came into the station, one on Pleasant Street and the other on St. Mary's Street
Tuesday, July 18
Clubs: Someone reported that a set of women's rental golf clubs were missing from 1281 West Roxbury Parkway, they described a blue Toyota Camry headed toward the rotary as possible thief. Police tracked the suspect down and noted they'd be summonsed for larceny. Police returned the clubs.
Wallet: A women came to the station to report she thought she had her wallet taken while she was at Regal Beagle and then saw that her credit cards were used at stores in town afterwards.
Gobble gobble: A passerby called police to note turkeys in the road near the corner of Beacon and Carlton streets in the evening and would like it looked into.
Package theft: A Dean Road resident called to report a package missing from his porch.
Loops: Someone called at 10:28 to report a white BMW was driving around near Spooner and Reservoir road making multiple slow loops and thought it was suspicious.
Wednesday, July 19
Bike stolen: A Park Street resident called to report her daughter's bike was stolen.
Phone stolen: A woman called police to report her phone was taken from the Whole Foods on Beacon Street. The store had camera footage.
Fight: Someone called at 6:52 p.m. to report a fight on Village Way. Someone was summonsed to court.
Break in: Someone came into the station to report a break in at their work place. They said a lock had been forced, cabinets and drawers had been gone through.
Escaped: Someone at Bourne Hospital ran away and stole someone's bike along the way before he was captured and taken to another hospital. (Stay tuned for the rest of the story, coming shortly)
