Former MIT Student Pleads Not Guilty to Rape of Boston University Woman

Samson Donick was indicted on rape charges Tuesday for allegedly entering a BU dorm and sexually assaulting a student in October.

A former Massachusetts Institute of Technology student accused in an October sexual assault at Boston University has pleaded not guilty to charges that include aggravated rape, multiple news outlets reported.

Samson Donick, a former Boston resident now living in Tiburon, CA, was indicted Tuesday on charges of aggravated rape, breaking and entering at night with the intent to commit a felony, burglary, and indecent assault and battery.

The 20-year-old is accused of entering the dorm room of a BU student and sexually assaulting her while she slept. Prosecutors say she awoke during the assault and screamed at Donick, prompting him to flee the scene.

Donick allegedly gained access to the building after being signed in along with three other non-BU students, all male, by two female students, around 2 a.m.

Donick was arraigned Wednesday and held on a $10,000 cash bail. A trial is set for Feb. 8, 2017.
