How Newbury College Students Feel About Celtics Season

This post is about the impressions and emotions of Newbury College students in Brookling during the first four games in the NBA playoffs.

As the Boston Celtics are gearing up for their next two games in Chicago, the team has been full of surprises as they are slowly losing their magic during the NBA playoffs.

Previously, the Celtics were having a victorious season, titled the No 1 seed in the NBA. Now during the playoffs, Celtics are down 2-0 and preparing to face the number eight seed in the league.

People around the Newbury College community, in Brookline, mostly agree on the fact that the Celtics could lose against their next component, the Chicago Bulls.

“I’m upset because they’re not playing like they should. They’re the No 1 seed and Chicago is number eight,” Indy Thompson, a Newbury student said.

People are trying to stay faithful during the playoffs and have as much hope in the Celtics as they can, but the Bulls are looking better than ever, and even more intimidating.

“The Celtics are honestly struggling… deep down I know the Celtics could win this series, but if the Bulls continue to play the way they are, they will be sweeped up by Chicago,” said Mikey Walker, a student at Newbury College.

Ever since losing the first two games, it has been a nail-biting experience for Boston fans. The Celtics must win at least one of the next two games, but many people have little confidence for the team.

“They could be doing better, I’m disappointed because they have so much more potential. To be honest, I think we’re going to lose,” Katie Collins, a faculty member of Newbury said.

Although the future may not look so bright for the Celtics, they’re still some fans that strongly believe the Celtics will push through.

“They’re going to win the next game if they rebound more. They need to be patient offensively, they need to look like they wanna play and they need stronger defense,” said Prince-Kevin Boateng, a senior at Newbury.

Angel Canales, a junior, still roots for the Celtics no matter what.

“I think they’re gonna win, I still believe in them. Boston for life,” he said.

If they win one of the next two games, they will move on in the NBA playoffs and play back in Boston.

The games will take place in Chicago on Friday, April 21 and Sunday, April 23.
