John Horrigan to present on the Great Molasses Flood at Boylston Place at Chestnut Hill

Boylston Place at Chestnut Hill will welcome historian John Horrigan for a presentation on Boston's Great Molasses Flood of 1919 on Jan. 27.

Boylston Place at Chestnut Hill will welcome historian John Horrigan for a presentation on Boston’s Great Molasses Flood of 1919 on Wednesday, Jan. 27 at 2 p.m. During the Great Molasses Flood, a large storage tank containing molasses burst and flooded the streets of Boston, killing 21 people and injuring 150. Join us to learn more about this tragedy from Horrigan, a well-known Boston historian and host of the 2014 Boston/New England Emmy Award-winning TV show, “The Folklorist.” This presentation is free and open to the public but space is limited.
