Lasting Words:A Guide to Finding Meaning Toward the Close of Life
BrooklineCAN Presents Author Claire Willis "Lasting Words: A Guide To Finding Meaning Toward the Close of Life"
Brookline Community Aging Network (BrooklineCAN) presents author and licensed clinical social worker, Claire Willis, discussing “Lasting Words: A Guide To Finding Meaning Toward the Close of Life”. Willis will discuss the importance of leaving a spiritual/ethical legacy to share with the upcoming generation. The event, which is free, takes place at the Brookline Senior Center, 93 Winchester Street, on Thursday, November 1, 5-7:30 pm. Please call 617-730-2770 to register.
How will we be remembered? What wisdom and understanding can we pass on to our family and community? These questions arise as we grow older. Willis suggests we consider preparing a testament that we can share now or leave to be read after we are gone. Following the talk, Willis will lead a writing workshop so attendees can begin the process of creating such a legacy. Her book will be available for purchase so that attendees can continue to work at home.
