Memorial Day in Brookline: Schedule of Observances

Here's a look at the schedule of services for Monday.

BROOKLINE, MA - Memorial Day is this Monday, and Brookline is honoring those who died fighting for our country with ceremonies at Walnut Hills Cemetery, Walnut Street Cemetery and the World War Monument.

Here's when each ceremony will be held and how you can get there, via the Brookline town website:

The main ceremony will begin at the World War Monument at Brookline Town Hall at 11 a.m. Prior to that, a bus will depart from the Veterans' Post at 386 Washington Street at 8:30 a.m. for the ceremonies at Walnut Hills Cemetery and then continue on to the Walnut Street Cemetery for a ceremony conducted by the Daughters of the American Revolution.

The bus will return to Town Hall for the main and final ceremony at 11 a.m. This year, there will be a small procession leading into the main ceremony. A collation will take place at the Veterans' Post upon completion of the ceremonies. All are welcome to attend any or all of ceremonies as well as the collation.
