New Brookline Business Owner Raises Money To Support High School
New FastFrame Brookline owner raises money to support the BCF Scholarship Fund for Brookline High School.

BROOKLINE, MA - From FastFrame Brookline: FastFrame Brookline may have a new owner, but its cornerstone values remain the same.
FastFrame Brookline, opened by Hsiu-Lan Chang, has been a town institution for 14 years. The store provides custom framing to over 6,000 corporate, individual and professional customers located all over the country, from Brookline to Seattle. And with each customer comes a unique story. Chang has enjoyed building connections with her customers and learning the history of each item being framed.
As the business is relationship-focused and grounded in trust, Chang says it was an easy decision to turn her store over to new owner, Peter Crossley, last November. Crossley has been in framing for 12 years and currently owns FastFrame Boston. A former banker, he was first introduced to the business by his sister who is a framer and artist. In addition to his expertise, Crossley offers a unique side business to his Brookline customers: large mirror installations for residential and commercial buildings.

Chang and Crossley immediately met eye-to- eye on experience, prices, and philosophies. When Chang asked Crossley if FastFrame Brookline could contribute 10% of its October revenue to the Brookline Community Foundation (BCF) Scholarship Fund for Brookline High School (BHS), Crossley didn’t hesitate. He says, “I am happy to support the Fund because I think it’s a great cause”. FastFrame Brookline has been a
longstanding supporter of town institutions and organizations including the Brookline Rotary, Chamber of Commerce, Teen Center, 21 st Century Fund, Jennifer Lynch Fund and BCF. This is rooted in Chang’s belief in diligent efforts in raising awareness about community needs. Chang says, “I hope this model serves as an example for other businesses to contribute in meaningful ways."
The BCF Scholarship Fund for BHS, which is a collaboration among the Brookline Community Foundation, the Brookline High School, and the Town of Brookline, will support Brookline High School's efforts to award Brookline High School graduating seniors who have financial need with scholarships to pursue post-secondary education, including four-year colleges, two-year community colleges, vocational education
programs, or other educational programs approved by Brookline High School Scholarship Committee. “I am grateful for FastFrame Brookline’s support and the unique way in which it contributed over $4,000 from just one month’s sales”, says Jenny Amory, BCF Executive Director.
