One Arrested After Alleged Screwdriver Assault in Parking Lot

BROOKLINE, MA - A Dorchester man was arrested Monday afternoon following a parking lot altercation during which he is accused of stabbing another man with a screwdriver.

Police responded to reports of two men fighting near the delivery area of Brigham and Women's clinic on Route 9 at approximately 1:30 p.m.

But according to the Brookline TAB, they both pointed the finger at each other as the instigator.

Amadou Jalloh, 23, told police he was waiting on an elderly patient but could not remember her name. According to WHDH, Jalloh works at the center as a medical services driver. He was then reportedly approached by the parking attendant, identified by the network as Jasel Pimental, and asked to leave.

Jalloh told police Pimental became agitated when he tried to argue that dropping someone off was similar to making a delivery. He said Pimental then reached into his car and hit him, the TAB reported.

Pimental told police a different story; he claimed he showed Jalloh where he could move his car and Jalloh became angry. After a coworker separated the two men, Jalloh then allegedly got out of his car and walked towards Pimental and his coworker with a screwdriver. Pimental told police he pushed his coworker out of the way and was struck in the face with the tool, according to the TAB.

When police arrived, both men had blood on their clothes and Pimental had a cut on his face and scratches on his chest.

Jalloh was arrested and charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon. WHDH reported he was released Tuesday on $150 bail.
