Injured Owl is Latest to Hate the Green Line
The bird collided with a Green Line trolley at Brookline Village late Wednesday night.

BROOKLINE, MA – An owl is recovering Thursday after being struck by a Green Line train in Brookline Wednesday night.
According to WHDH, the collision was reported by the train's operator around 11:25 p.m. at Brookline Village. She helped the bird from the tracks to a nearby bench before MBTA officials arrived and secured it in a cardboard box, the Boston Globe reported.
Officials attempted to contact multiple animal control and rescue offices, who were not available to assist, according to reports.

They ultimately found help from the Tufts University School of Veterinary Medicine, which operates overnight.
The Globe reported that MBTA inspector Christopher McLaughlin brought the owl to the Grafton facility at the end of his shift.
