Pink haired lady tried to break into a home: Maria Serrano, 28, of Dorchester was arrested and charged at 11:19 p.m. on two default warrants for assault and battery. An Evans Road resident called police just around 6 p.m. to report a strange woman was trying to get into their home via the basement door. The resident confronted this individual and asked her what address she was looking for. Police redacted the woman's answer. She then left the backyard heading toward the garage area. But the person who called the police thought this was strange. The caller described the woman (later identified as Serrano) as thin, in her 20s, and with pink hair and a leather jacket and possibly confused or impaired by drugs or alcohol. Police said the woman in question was found hiding in detached garage/barn area. Serrano was acting extremely erratic. She was unable to remain still or answer simple questions. She gave multiple different names and was unable to remember her date of birth. Due to Serrano's obvious impairment as well as the possibility that she had internal possession of a Class-B Controlled Substance (cocaine), police called EMS. A check of Maria Serrano in the system showed two outstanding warrants. A Default warrant issued on Oct. 11 out of Dorchester District Court for Assault & Battery as well as a Default warrant issued that same day out of Lynn District Court for Assault & Battery.

Never a good sign: Adam Scott,29, homeless was arrested and charged at 12:29 a.m.. An officer was patrolling the Muddy River area of Brookline when he saw a man wearing a black backpack, multiple finger rings and what appeared to be women's handbags noticed the police officer and abruptly change direction. The officer deemed this to be suspicious given the time of night and the secluded nature of the area on top of recent car break ins around the area. The officer stopped and briefly chatted with the man, inquired about the weather and what he was going to do when it got colder. The officer asked him about his belongings and the man said one thing then changed his story, according to police. The officer asked for his name so he could document the encounter. He gave his name. The officer ran it through dispatch and it turned out Scott had two active default warrants. The officer caught up to Scott who was in the area of the Longwood MBTA Station. He immediately asked the officer if he was was stopping him about his outstanding warrants. Police said he complied, told them he might have some hypodermic syringes in his belongings. When asked about the jewelry he was seen wearing he told police something that was redacted. Upon closer examination of the items in question this explanation appears plausible, said police. He was charged on a Default Warrant Docket Quincy District Court for ABPO, ABDW, and A&B on Oct. 3. He also had a Default Warrant Docket issued in March out of Boston for False report of crime, and motor vehicle offenses.
