Police Investigating Reported Sexual Assault of a College Student
A woman told police she was attacked as she tried to enter her apartment building early Wednesday morning.

BROOKLINE, MA - Police in Brookline are investigating an alleged sexual assault on a local college student.
The woman told police the assault occurred around 1:45 a.m. on Wednesday, though it was not reported until Thursday evening.
The victim said she was at the front door of her apartment on St. Paul St. having just left a local business on Commonwealth Avenue when a man approached her and struck up a conversation.

She said she told the man to leave her alone, but he grabbed her and assaulted her as she tried to get into her home.
Police said the woman broke free and ran to her apartment, sustaining minor injuries.

The suspect is described as a light-skinned man in his mid 20s to 30s, with dark hair and facial hair. He is between 5'9" and 5'10."
The victim said she had never seen him before and was unsure in which direction he fled.
