Sexual Assault In Brookline: Police Arrest Accused Man
A woman was walking home from a friend's house on Comm Ave Saturday morning early when a man pulled her into an alley, Brookline Police say.

BROOKLINE, MA — Police arrested a man they believe sexually assaulted and choked a woman in Brookline early Saturday morning.
The woman told police she was walking home from a friend's house on Comm Ave when a man came up to her near 1202 Comm Ave and started trying to talk with her. When she didn't engage, he took her phone and keys out of her hands, she told police. She kept walking but the man grabbed her, pulled her into an alley near Thorndike Street, where he sexually assaulted her and choked her, according to police.
The woman was able to get away and then she and her friends called police.

Police praised the woman and her friends for calling 911 so quickly and attributed that to helping them find the suspect within 20 minutes.
"Quick thinking by the victim and her friends who came to her assistance, helped provide the Police with valuable information that lead them to locating the subject in the area of Brighton Av and Harvard Street around 3:19 a.m.," said Lt. Phil Harrington spokesperson for the Brookline Police Department.

Police arrested Mainor Edgardo Suazo-Martinez, 20, of Allston and charged him with assault with intent to rape, strangulation and kidnapping. He was also wanted on a warrant out of Boston.
He is currently being held on $100,000 and is scheduled to appear in Brookline Court on Tuesday.
