Suspect Arrested After Early Morning Car Break-in
The alleged crook made his getaway on a bike, but was detained by police after initially resisting arrest.

BROOKLINE, MA - A suspected bicycling bandit was arrested by police early Friday morning after a resident reported witnessing him breaking into a car on Clyde Street.
Police received the call around 3:30 a.m. and located the fleeing suspect on his bike a short time later. According to police, he initially refused to stop but was taken into custody after briefly resisting arrest.
The unidentified male was charged with breaking & entering of a motor vehicle, larceny, receiving stolen property and resisting arrest. During a search of the suspect, police found items that may be linked to other break-ins in the area.

Brookline Police are holding unclaimed stolen property recovered in the search. They believe the items were taken from several areas in the south side of town, including Meadowbrook Road, Dale Street, Clyde Street and Newton Street.
