Is This Toddler Yours? And Other Brookline Police Logs

Over the weekend of June 30 through July 2 Brookline Police responded to calls that included a lost toddler, kicked in door and noise.

They are excerpts taken from the public police log and represent a portion of what kinds of calls the police respond to. All suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Friday, June 30

Suspicious: A Clark Road resident called to report a blue pickup truck parked on the street for the past 20 minutes. The resident thought it was suspicious. Police came by and talked to the man and said it checked out ok.

Kicks: A Burro Bar employee called police at 5:13 a.m. to report it looked like someone kicked in and shattered the front glass door to the restaurant in Washington Square.

Noise: A Beals Street resident called police at 2:28 a.m. to report loud music playing somewhere on Beals Street.

Saturday, July 1

That's my table: A Washington Street resident called to report it looked like someone damaged a game table in the basement of the basement of their building.

Gaggle of kids: An anonymous resident called to report a group of what they said were about 40 kids hanging out and being loud on Juniper street at 10:14 p.m. Police didn't find any such group in the area.

Lock your door: Someone came into the station to report his car was broken into while it was parked near the corner of Elm Street and Davis Avenue.

Sunday, July 2

Unattended children will be given sugar: Someone called to report they found a 2-year-old near the corner of Perry and Francis Street with no sign of a parent.

Noisy: Someone called about a loud noise on Freeman Street near the parking lot around 9:33 a.m., but police couldn't find anything odd.
