Vincent Messina appointed Executive Director at Wingate Residences on the East Side

Wingate Residences on the East Side has named Vincent Messina executive director of the assisted living residence. He will be responsible for managing all aspects of the assisted living community.

Messina brings 13 years’ experience working with seniors in assisted living communities to this new role. Prior to joining Wingate’s East Side community, Messina served as the food service director at their sister community, Wingate Residences on Blackstone Boulevard. Through his work with Wingate, Messina came to know the residents personally, an advantage that will serve him well as executive director. “I’m not in the kitchen anymore, but I’m still focused on providing great service and making time to engage with residents in the dining room,” Messina said.

Messina is a trained chef with a degree in culinary arts from Johnson and Wales University. In addition to his role at East Side, Messina owns and operates Gianfranco’s Ristorante and Bar in Johnston.

Located at One Butler Ave., Wingate Residences on the East Side provides both traditional assisted living, as well as a special program for individuals with memory care needs.
