Another Store Closing In Burlington's Crossroads Plaza

You'll have to head to Middlesex Turnpike to stock up on hockey equipment.

BURLINGON, MA -- The Crossroads shopping Plaza was dealt another blow this week with the acquistion of the Bauer Hockey store by Holliston-based Pure Hockey. Pure Hockey plans to close the Crossroads Plaza store and merge it with its existing store on Middlesex Turnpike in Burlington.

The closing of the Bauer store comes less than five months after the plaza's anchor, Roche Brothers, closed. That space is going to become home o a new mini Target store, but the closing of another big retail space is a blow for a plaza that had a massive remodel just a few years ago.

Pure Hockey's purchase includes the Burlington store and a similar store in Bloomington, Minn. The Minnesota store will remain at its current location and continue to be an exclusive Bauer retailer. Both stores will become par of Pure Hockey's 53-store chain but remain exclusive dealers of Bauer equipment.
