The following is a sampling of log entries provided by the Burlington Police Department.
Saturday, March 7
8:49 a.m. - Police received several calls regarding possible dead deer on the side of the road. near the high school. Unit was dispatched to the area. Animal control officer called and removed deer.
10:38 a.m. - Caller reports his neighbor’s detached barn had a partial roof collapse on Mountain Road. Same is unsure if homeowner is aware of situation. Rear of barn collapsed. Building inspector called to inform him of situation.

12:29 p.m. - National Grid requests officer standby while they enter home due to strong odor of gas on Greystone Court. Area dispatched to the area, and assisted National Grid who entered the home to check gas levels inside after repairing exterior pipe leak. Normal levels found. Residence secured after exiting.
4:34 p.m. - Store manager of Best Buy reports suspicious activity involving two male parties attempting to use a possible fraudulent credit card. Unit dispatched to the store. A male party attempted to purchase a laptop and left when the manager stated he would be confirming the purchase through the credit card company.

Sunday, March 8
12:08 a.m. - Reporting party from AMC Theaters, 20 South Ave., reports she may have been followed by a suspicious male party. Party left area before officer could speak with him.This was called in by cinema detail officer.
10:08 a.m. - Treasurer for the Temple Shalom Emeth, 14 Lexington St. and reports receiving a cell phone bill from Verizon Wireless in the amount of $9,970.83 for cell phone accounts that were opened sometime around Nov. 12, 2014. These accounts were opened with the name of David Kraus on the account(No one with that name works for the Temple). The reporting party has been in contact with the fraud department of Verizon Wireless and speaking with a representative by the name of Tyler. Tyler advised him to file a police report at the local police department and submit same so that this matter could be rectified.
1:02 p.m. - Caller states his Wells Fargo debit card was attempted used for $628 at GameStop, 101 Middlesex Turnpike on March 7. Wells Fargo looking into same.
5:39 p.m. - Motor vehicle stop with arrest in the area of Burlington Car Wash, 310 Cambridge St. Male party was placed under arrest for operating with a suspended license.
6:25 p.m. - Caller reports she has an animal trapped in her porch on Skelton Road. Police assisted with getting animal out of the home. Opossum removed from house
7:18 p.m. - Shoplifter in custody, Macy’s, 75 Middlesex Turnpike. Shoplifter was summonsed.
9:11 p.m. - Party reports having his identity stolen. Individual was summonsed.
Monday, March 9
11:02 a.m. - Report of an odor of gas outside Building 7 at Arboretum Way. Fire Department notified and to handle.
12:52 p.m. - Report of damage done to door on Mill Street. Sometime during the overnight the front door knob was damaged. Same has what looks like a small screwdriver puncture on it.
5:57 p.m. - Caller reports a suspicious male in a sleeping bag at the Reservoir Water Treatment facility, 70 Winter St. Same was a homeless man grabbing a quick nap. He was moved on.
8:49 p.m. - Report of a gas odor, Wilmington Road at 39 Gedick Road. Responding officer reports a strong odor of gas in the area. National Grid notified to respond.
