Besito in Burlington to Celebrate Dia de los Muertos Nov. 1, 2
Diners are invited to learn about the "Day of the Dead" and enjoy honorary Mexican dishes during Besito's weekend-long celebration.

On Saturday, Nov. 1 and Sunday, Nov. 2, celebrate El Dia de los Muertos, or the “Day of the Dead,” at Besito Mexican, the new Mexican restaurant in the Burlington Mall! The Besito family will ensure an authentic Dia de los Muertos experience as they don authentic sugar skull face paint and educate guests on the holiday with keepsake cards. Traditional “ofrendas” or altars will also be displayed throughout the restaurant to honor beloved ancestors, friends and family.
Besito Mexican’s Executive Chef Carlos Arellano will complete the celebration by serving up two honorary dishes, which he specifically designed for the special day. To start, guests can nosh on a Ceviche de Jaiba appetizer ($14), which boasts marinated jumbo lump crab mixed with jalapeno and garnished with tortillas and plantain chips. Guests can also indulge in the Enchiladas de Res ($25), consisting of two soft corn tortillas filled with shredded braised Negra Medello short-rib, baked in a chipotle cream sauce and topped with queso chihuahua and cilantro.
As a sweet end to this celebratory meal, guests will be treated to complimentary artisan Dia de los Muertos chocolates, handmade by Mayan chocolatier, Casa de Chocolates.
