BEST "Lion King Jr" set to wow this Friday and Saturday

With a mere three weeks of rehearsal, the students in Burlington Educational Summer Theatre give it their all in 2 dazzling performances

In just three short weeks, the Burlington Educational Summer Theatre has rehearsed scenes, learned songs and put choreography to the music of one of Disney's iconic stories, The Lion King, Jr. Performances will take place this Friday, July 28, at 7 pm and Saturday, July 29 at 2 pm.

Adapted from the animated Disney movie and Broadway hit, the African savannah comes to life with Simba, Rafiki and an unforgettable cast of characters as they journey from Pride Rock, to the jungle and back again, in this inspiring, coming-of-age tale.

The Burlington Educational Summer Theatre is an educational summer theatre program for elementary and middle schools students. Now in its eighth year, it takes advantage of the resources of the Burlington Public School system to support the program. Unlike any other theatre education program, Burlington has become the model for a unique and low-cost summer educational theatre experience.
