BHS Gala Benefit Concert will send high school musicians to DisneyWorld

The Burlington High School Music Boosters Association announces its eighth annual Gala Benefit Concert and Silent Auction to be held on Sunday, November 8, 2015 at 2:00 pm in the Fogelberg Performing Arts Center on the Burlington High School campus.

This year’s Gala is Disney-themed to celebrate the Burlington High School Marching Band trip to perform at Disneyworld in April 2016. The Gala will feature individual and group performances by over 175 BHS music students, including the BHS Marching Band, Drum Line, Front Ensemble, Color Guard, Dance Squad, Chorus, Select Singers and Glee Club.

The doors will open at 1:00 pm and guests are invited to peruse and bid on the silent auction items provided by music booster families and local businesses. The concert will begin at 2:00 pm.

This year’s silent auction promises to surpass all expectations. Dental Bright of Burlington is offering a full orthodontics package. Some other top items are private music lessons and camp tuition at the Real School of Music, sets of tickets to theater and sporting events, gift certificates to Altitude trampoline park, a luxury “prom Package,” chef’s dinner and wine package for six from Burton’s Grille, Disneyworld hopper passes, gift certificates to local restaurants, the very popular scratch ticket tree and lots more!

Tickets for the Gala Benefit Concert and Silent Auction are $10 and are available online at www.BurlingtonTheatre.com, 781-A-FUN-TIC and at the door. Proceeds from ticket sales go directly to the Disney Trip Fund and proceeds from the auction go directly to the Music Boosters Fund to cover costs for chorus and band support for the year as well as its scholarship fund. Guests can mention the name of a marching band member and the total ticket amount will go directly to defray the cost of that member’s Disney trip. All seats are reserved.
