BHSPippin25 honors the past and celebrates the present

BHS casts from 1993 and 2018 Pippin shows join together in post performance reunion on March 23

When the curtain rises for this year’s Burlington High School spring musical, Pippin, the 2018 cast and crew of Burlington High School’s spring musical will be celebrating the Silver Anniversary of the show’s first performance at BHS. The names and faces may have changed but 25 years have not changed the music, words or thrill of performing this multiple award-winning musical.

Having reached this milestone, BHS is pleased to announce that it will host a reunion of the original cast on Friday, March 23, following that evening’s performance. Honoring the past and celebrating the present, BHSPippin25 will take place in the lobby of the high school and will include refreshments, a meet and greet between cast members then and now, photo ops and a Pippin singalong.

In 1993 a unique tradition was established by the drama club honoring one cast member as “Chorus Member of the Year.” To this day, this award shines the spotlight on the excellence, outstanding service and dedication by a non-leading cast member to the spring musical. The honoree is entrusted with the care of King Charlemagne’s Cape, worn in the 1993 performance of Pippin, and the charge of attaching to “The Cape” some small memento from this year’s performance.
