Board Welcomes New Member, Reorganizes
The Burlington Board of Selectmen welcomed Daniel Grattan for the board and chose a new Chair and Vice-Chair at Monday's meeting.
The Burlington Board of Selectmen looked a little different Monday night.
The board welcomed its newest member, Daniel Grattan, who was elected to the open spots left by retiring member Gary Gianino during last Saturday's town election.
"I'd like to thank everyone who supported me and especially my family," Grattan said.

The board also underwent a reorganization during the meeting. Walter Zenkin, who had been serving as vice-chair, was elected by the members to the chairman position. He will replace Ralph Patuto who has been the chair for the past two years. Board member Daniel DiTucci was elected to replace Zenkin as the vice-chair.
"Ralph, you did a fantastic job and I hope to serve past that and continue," Zenkin said in his first chairman report. "I know we have some fiscally challenging times ahead but I also know this board is well rounded and everyone contributes. I feel comfortable that if we listen to each other and think of the best interest of the community there is nothing we can’t handle. I am honored to be chairman of this board. We have a great board and I’m really proud and I know we can do a lot of good things.”
